Sparkle had earned a devoted clientele that included respected downtown jewellers, out-of-town clients and personal jewelry consultants. In 1993, he received one of his most memorable commissions, a brooch for US President Bill Clinton during his visit to Vancouver for a summit with Russian President Boris Yeltsin. Many more exciting commissions would come Nelson’s way for celebrated actors, musicians and athletes. Nelson, ever dedicated to the craft, approached every piece with the same passion he gives all his work.
